Brian Kingsford and Jennifer Matta opened Bacaro on May 8th, 2007. The long time couple, both having worked at Al Forno for more than a decade, have decided to show Providence and beyond something new in the dining scene with their Salumeria, Enoteca and Cicchetteria while maintaining some of the more traditional offerings Brian has been known for over the years.
This new meets old concept envelops what they believe society is looking for today. It is about giving people a little bit more of what they want and less of what they don’t want. The Bacaro experience is as heavy or light as the customer chooses it to be. Whether a night out is about meeting some friends over a wonderful bottle of wine with some prosciutto and grilled figs or summer melons or a full service dining experience, Brian and Jennifer have created the environment that fulfills the senses.
